Founder and CEO of The Release Production, Talisa Taylor, expressed deep appreciation for the support received throughout the tour’s journey. “This tour has been one of the most meaningful initiatives of my career,” Taylor said. “I am especially thankful to all the stakeholders who believed in the vision and helped make it possible. From the ministries, to the schools, to the speakers and partners who participated — every contribution helped to create an experience that truly impacted the lives of our students.”
Taylor noted that while the success of the tour has been rewarding, the journey has not been without its challenges. “It has been hard — extremely hard,” she shared. “Between the logistical challenges and even the postponement we faced due to Hurricane Melissa, there were moments when the pressure was immense. But when you see the students responding, when teachers call afterwards to say how much their students learned, you realize that every challenge was worth it.”
The Release School Tour marks six years of the initiative and forms part of the broader legacy of The Release, a media platform that has operated for eight years. For Taylor, closing the brand with an initiative that prioritizes national development was intentional.“As The Release comes to a close, it felt important to end with something that gives back,” she explained. “This platform has never been about being selfish. It has always been about impact — about creating opportunities for others and opening doors where possible. Ending with the school tour felt like ending with purpose.”
Highlights from The Release School Tour airs on TVJ every Saturday at 9:30pm with a repeat Thursdays at 11pm and on RETV on Wednesdays at 8pm.
